Small Group Private Tours in Winter

Private Tours for Small Groups in Winter

Winter is a wonderful time to explore the highlands of Scotland. The roads are empty and accommodation is easy to find. The sun can shine during the depths of winter and the snow can transform the landscape. We use luxury 4x4 vehicles to make sure that we can tour safely.

If you are planing to visit Scotland this winter please get in touch to discuss your plans.

Example Itinerary from Glasgow or Edinburgh

Day 1
To the Isle of Skye

We soon leave the lowlands behind; you will see the dramatic change in the winter landscape as we cross the highland boundary fault. We drive past Stirling Castle and the National Wallace Monument. Through the Trossachs to Glencoe. We then follow the shoreline to Fort William. We climb high above Loch Scotland then drop down through Glen Sheil past the 5 sisters to Eilean Donan. Then quite literally over the sea to Skye using the magnificent Skye Bridge.

Day 2
Skye Tour

Explore Skye together

Day 3
Skye to Inverness

Taking the high road to Inverness is beautiful in wintertime. We follow Loch Carron, perhaps stop for woodland walk. The explore Loch Ness.

Day 4
Inverness to Glasgow or Edinburgh

Culloden, Clava Cairns and Cairngorms and home.
